Josh and I have returned to Quito and are ready to start the school year muy pronto!!!!! Well, maybe not........ However, we are back after 7 weeks away and ready to return to our lives. Since I have returned, I have set up my classroom and prepared myself to teach 10th grade English with Andrew again......... Last night was the new teacher party and it was really fun and today (Saturday) we have just sat around and watched TV. Right now, we are watching Josh's favorite movie Moulin Rouge - ummmm he is crying his eyes out. I am not kidding- this is retaliation for him posting on youtube me dancing like an elf. Nothing else exciting has really happened over here in the Andean Highland Region!

oh my
When I'm with him I feel... Yes, I am living. And when I'm not with him... Yes, everything does seem sort of silly. - Clarissa Vaughn "The Hours"

BsAs
We are in BsAs now and I have truly never been to a city so impressive, so enchanting. The streets are lined with antique markets and people dancing tango........... together beautifully. I could only dream to live in a place like this forever. The Spanish the people speak is eloquent and resembles Italian- my other favorite language. The things that we have learned about the Argetine people, those that disappeared, the extreme gap in poverty and the struggle between the rich and the poor.
Words cannot describe the images I have seen in Latin America or how I will forever connect with the culture, the people. Or the thoughts that I have had about humanity and how I want to make the world a somewhat better place. If not for everyone, at least for some. I have not seen any of my friends for a year and I am afraid that I will not be able to convey the images I have seen or the thoughts that I have had in words.
Or how I have inexplicably evolved over the course of a year...........I am absolutely having the time of my life and I never want it to end.
