Sao Paulo and bussing south onward to Argentina

So Josh and I have been in Sao Paulo for the past two days and we love it here. We have forgotten what it is like to live in a big modern city like NYC or Philadelphia. There is everything that you could possibly want and sooo different from Quito. You forget what life is like outside of a developing country until you go and visit more developed countries. Sao Paulo is bigger than NYC and very sophisticated. A stark contrast to my little Pueblo that I live in en Ecuador. For example, I asked a Brazilian about how many times a year she took her amoeba pill and she looked at me like I was crazy. Josh and I talk about amoebas everyday- for those of you who don't know there are amoebas in the food in Ecuador. I have to take a dose of amoeba pills twice a year to clean out my system. I even read about a new Kraft Macaroni that is being fed to African and South American children to combat amoebas. I thought to myself- Way to go Kraft! Ok well enough about amoebas.......

Anyways Sao Pau is a world class international city, and it has made me realize how poor Ecuador really is. I guess that I am just used to it. Coming from working in the Bronx to working in a developing nation I guess is enough to make someone humble. But I will tell you one thing I do miss Chulpichochos. The best beans ever- only found in Ecuador. And Josh and I have decided we are going to eat a cuy ( a guineau pig) when we get back to Ecuador. A cuy and papas will be a great date night. We are leaving Sao Pao tomorrow and bussing southward to Argentina, which I cannot wait for. Until then......
